HIGH PERFOMANCE - ENERGY EFFICIENT DOORS & WINDOWS
Double glazed doors and windows are manufactured by bonding 2 glass panes together using a spacer and separated by a gas filled gap - usually between 6mm to 20mm. The gap is hermetically sealed (airtight) providing an additional insulating layer. This system provides some great performance benefits to your windows and doors.
Decrease Your Power Bills
Over the last 10 years, energy costs have risen over 50% and are continuing to do so. The majority of these costs are from cooling and heating appliances. Every year, the cost of keeping your home cool in summer and warm in winter becomes harder to afford. Installing Double Glazed windows and doors can assist with reducing your energy bills by up to 30% when compared to single glazed units!
Reduce Outside Noise
While being extremely energy efficient, double glazed doors and windows can also help reduce outside noise. From loud neighbours and animals to busy roads and other passing vehicles - unwanted noise can be reduced by up to 60% when compared to standard single glazed units. For extra acousitc protection, a laminate can be added to double glazed doors and windows.
Comfort All Year Round
It has been estimated that close to half of all heat loss during cooler months and almost 90% of heat gain during the warmer months can come from windows and doors. Our double glazed products insulate against cold and heat up to four times more efficiently compared to standard single glazed doors and windows.
The hermetically sealed gap between the 2 panes of glass provide a thermal barrier between the inside of your home and outside weather. It keeps warm or cool air inside, which helps keep a steady temperature all year round.
